OUR STORY

Elizabeth McKay Jenkins, Designer of Elizabeth McKay, has always had a passion for fashion and flare for style. Elizabeth finds her inspiration looking back on the 50's, 60's and 70's most chic and glamorous women. Figures like Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Jackie O's stylish sense of glamour and balance influences the collection, as well as the embroideries and prints that Elizabeth designs herself. It is through her understanding of women's proportions and body types that her pieces fit and flatter the distinctive shapes of a true woman. Elizabeth graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1997 with a BA in liberal arts for photography and later received her Associates Degree in Fashion Design from Parson School of Design. After graduating from Parsons School Of Design in 2001, Elizabeth interned with TiBi, worked as an assistant designer for CJ Laing and in 2004, designed and helped launch TS Dixin (named after her nephews Taylor, Spencer and Dixon.) Knowing that she still had a lot more to offer the fashion industry, in 2006 she began designing an independent line, Elizabeth McKay. The designer best describes her line as "flirty, fun, soft, and sexy with feminine flair and vintage flourishes, which Grace and Jackie would have adored." Elizabeth McKay can be seen in high end specialty stores throughout the United States. Elizabeth Jenkins |
